About Hindi Varnmala

Hindi Varnmala is a free web companion for young children learning the Hindi alphabet, known as varnamala. It is aimed at parents and early learners who want a gentle way to meet each letter, trace its shape and read short stories together.

The site offers swar and vyanjan charts, a varnamala chart, a barakhadi chart that explores consonants with common matras, and counting in Hindi from one to one hundred. A tracing section lets a child follow a letter or digit with a finger, and a story section offers six stories and five rhymes to read aloud.

Parents can print letter sheets for paper practice or use the Android app for offline learning. The site states that it has no ads and needs no sign-up, and the app is described for ages 3 to 8.
