HeyDevJob is a practice platform for aspiring and early-career engineers who want proof of real skills instead of another side project. Users pick a role such as DevOps, Backend, Fullstack, Security, AI/ML or Kubernetes, then work through production-style projects inside a live cloud workspace.
Each completed project is verified and added to a public portfolio page that can be shared with recruiters. The site argues that AI has made self-made side projects easy to fake, so verified work done in a controlled environment carries more weight. Projects are tagged by role, level from junior to senior, and stack, covering tasks like Terraform on AWS, speeding up CI pipelines, migrating a Postgres database without downtime, or moving secrets into Vault.
