Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Launchator ("we") collects when you use launchator.com, why, and the choices you have. The service is operated by Launchator, Amanora Park Town, Pune 411028, India. Contact us at contact@launchator.com.

What we collect

• Account information: your name, email address and profile picture from Google, GitHub or the email sign-up form.
• Products you submit: your website address, a screenshot and text taken from your homepage, and the listing details you edit.
• Your activity: upvotes, messages you send to founders, and messages founders receive.
• Usage information: page views and outbound clicks on product pages (counted without identifying you), and Google Analytics data about how you use the site (in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, only if you accept analytics cookies).
• Security information: a one-way hash of your IP address to limit abuse of the free AI analysis.

How we use it

• To run your account, publish your listings and keep them up to date.
• To deliver messages to founders by email without showing anyone's email address.
• To send service emails about your listings (for example, when a listing goes live or needs attention).
• To send the weekly digest and founder deals, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To prevent spam and abuse, and to improve the site.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performing our contract with you (running your account and listings), your consent (marketing emails, and analytics cookies in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) and our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and service emails).

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the service:

• Google Firebase and Google Cloud: hosting, sign-in, database and file storage.
• Anthropic: AI review of submitted websites and spam screening of messages.
• Resend: sending email.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: bot protection on the submission form.
• Google Analytics: usage statistics (with your consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; you can opt out anywhere).

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards.

What is public

Your product listings are public. Messages you send to a founder are private unless the founder chooses to make them public, in which case your name and profile picture are shown with the message. Your email address is never shown.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage that are needed to keep you signed in and to protect the site. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Elsewhere they are on by default and you can opt out. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and listings until you delete them or ask us to. Usage statistics are kept in aggregate. Abuse-prevention records are deleted after two days.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your information, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing contact@launchator.com. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
