About VoiceBrief

VoiceBrief is a text-to-speech tool for people who need to get through long documents such as textbook chapters, research papers, lecture notes and policy reports. Students, researchers, educators and anyone working through dense reading can upload a PDF and hear it read in natural AI voices, with each word highlighted as it is spoken.

What sets it apart is that the reading stays faithful to the original. Page numbers, tables, figures and citations are skipped so sentences flow, and nothing is summarized or added. When a passage is hard, a Professor mode explains the section in plain language, clearly labeled as an explanation so it is never confused with the author's text. The app also saves your place, queues the next document and supports uploads up to 500 pages.

Beyond listening, the same upload can be used for quizzes, flashcards, notes and a chat with the document. A free tier covers the first 15 minutes of one document, and Pro is offered monthly or yearly.
