Supashot
Local-first screenshot and screen recording for Chrome
About Supashot
Supashot is a Chrome extension for capturing and recording the web without sending anything to a cloud. It is aimed at people who take screenshots often, such as creators, developers and anyone sharing bug reports or quick demos, and who want their captures kept on their own machine.
The extension lets you capture a region, the visible tab or a full scrolling page, and record your screen with webcam and microphone to a local WebM file. Captures can be annotated with arrows, text, shapes, blurs, emojis and background presets, then copied to the clipboard or downloaded. Everything is saved to a searchable library in the browser's local storage, with no account required.
What sets it apart is the local-first design: screenshots and recordings stay on the device and are not uploaded unless you choose to share them. The core features are free, and a paid Pro tier adds higher-quality video and extra styling options.
