Check if two rest periods qualify as an FMCSA sleeper split

About SplitSleeperCalc
SplitSleeperCalc is a free web calculator for truck drivers, dispatchers and safety staff who want to check whether two logged rest periods pair under the FMCSA split sleeper berth rule. The user enters the status, start, end and fixed UTC offset for each period, and the tool tests every condition and shows the result alongside a visual log strip.
It handles common 7/3 and 8/2 splits and the 3-hour then 10-hour sleeper shape, and keeps the reset and pairing readings as separate branches. It does not offer the limited 6/4 and 5/5 pilot options. Arithmetic is done in whole minutes, so 6 hours 59 minutes never rounds up to 7 hours. When the cited FMCSA pages give no clear answer, such as remaining hours after a paired split, the tool says so rather than guessing.
No account is needed and entries stay in the browser. The site states it is educational, not an ELD, not legal advice and not an official compliance determination. Its rule statements link to FMCSA sources.
