PeekFocus
Preview links on hover without opening new tabs
About PeekFocus
PeekFocus is a browser extension for people who open too many tabs while reading feeds, news and blogs. Instead of opening each link in a new tab, you alt-click or drag a link and a preview of the linked page appears on screen, so you can scan the content and move on.
The extension is aimed at anyone who browses long feeds on social media, news sites or blogs and gets overwhelmed by a growing row of tabs. It works on any webpage that contains links and is available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Brave. The site says it brings a link preview experience similar to the one in iOS Safari or the pinned site previews in Arc to other browsers.
Preview size, duration and other display options can be adjusted in settings, and the site says PeekFocus does not collect personal information from its users. It also offers a dark mode.
