About Online Notepad
Online Notepad is a free, browser-based text editor for people who want to jot down, format and keep notes without creating an account or installing anything. It suits students, writers and anyone who needs a quick place to draft text on a laptop, tablet or phone.
Notes are saved automatically in the browser's local storage, so work remains when you return, and a saved notes panel lets you reopen, rename or delete earlier notes. The toolbar offers rich text formatting such as bold, italics, underline, fonts and sizes, plus links, images, emojis and fullscreen mode.
The site states that notes stay on your device rather than on a server. Files can be exported as TXT, HTML, Markdown, RTF, DOCX or PDF, and existing documents can be imported. Keyboard shortcuts cover the common editing actions.
