About OCR2Excel
OCR2Excel is a free online converter for people who need to turn pictures of tables into spreadsheets. It is aimed at finance and operations staff who receive receipts, bank lines, price lists or chat screenshots and would rather not retype the numbers by hand.
You drop in a PNG, JPG or WEBP image, or a PDF, and the tool rebuilds rows and columns in the browser. Uncertain text is highlighted in yellow so it can be checked before export. Results can be downloaded as an .xlsx workbook, a UTF-8 CSV, a Word .docx table or a tab-separated text file.
The main difference is privacy: the OCR engine runs locally, so the images are not sent to a server for recognition. The OCR engine loads only after you click Convert, and the first run may download several megabytes of engine files.
