Diffractt is a privacy-first personal finance app for households whose spreadsheets have outgrown their budgeting tools. It brings accounts, transactions and budgets together, then models income across everyone who earns, including uneven pay such as bonuses, commissions and 1099 work.

Instead of only tracking past spending, it builds a household model from income sources, pay schedules and deductions. It shows per-paycheck, monthly, annual and tax-year views, runs federal and state tax projections from actual paystubs, and includes a W-4 withholding comparison and quarterly estimates for self-employed income. Banks connect through SimpleFIN with read-only access, and paystubs and utility bills can be read by AI with opt-in permissions. Free calculators cover take-home pay, self-employment tax, student loans, mortgages and more, with no signup.

The product stresses that data is never sold or mined. Documents and bank connection credentials are encrypted at rest, sensitive logins sit in a password-locked vault, and account data can be exported as JSON. It is in public beta with a free tier and a 30-day trial of its optimizing features.
