Living org charts of roles, accountabilities and decision rights

About keyroles
Keyroles is a role-based org chart tool for teams that want clear accountability without adopting a single rigid governance framework. It is built for founders, operators and leaders at scaling startups, merged organizations and nonprofits who need to see who owns which responsibilities.
The chart is built from current roles and circles, so it stays up to date as work changes. Users can switch between graph and list views, assign and modify roles quickly, track changes, and record tensions that signal where a team's focus needs to shift. Decision-making processes can be defined by the organization itself.
It differs from static org charts by focusing on roles rather than reporting lines, and it works with Holacracy, Sociocracy or hybrid approaches. The site also highlights key-person risk, cost allocation by role and onboarding support. It is hosted in the European Union and offers a free plan for up to 10 members.
