Clear Mail
Clean up your Gmail inbox without OAuth access
About Clear Mail
Clear Mail is a Gmail cleaning app for people whose Primary, Promotions, Social, Updates and Forums tabs have filled up with messages they never read. It works directly inside the Gmail tab, so there is no separate program to install and no need to switch windows to tidy up.
The app offers frequent sender and repeated subject filters to help spot the emails that clog an inbox, and it covers every Gmail tab rather than only Primary. A free version is available without a credit card, with a paid tier for unlimited features.
What sets it apart is privacy. The site says it does not use OAuth, so users do not grant read, write or delete permissions on their email, and says all processing happens locally without sending email data to external servers or third parties.
