ace.me
Personal websites, email and cloud under one tag
About ace.me
ace.me is a combined website, email and cloud service built for people who want a simple personal identity online. Each user claims a short tag that doubles as a web address like alice.ace.me and an email address like alice@ace.me.
The site builder is aimed at people without technical skills. Users add pictures, videos, links, music and social posts to a page with a simple editor, and the service states that no code or setup is needed. The email side groups messages by sender in a minimal messenger-style interface, with read receipts, faster loading and a toggle that shows summaries of longer mails.
What sets it apart, according to the site, is that tags can be bought, traded and sold, and once claimed they carry no recurring renewal fees. The service says it is free and shows no ads in the inbox or on sites, with traffic encrypted over TLS.
