About ColorSightTest

ColorSightTest offers free, browser-based color vision screens for people curious about how they perceive color. The site includes an Ishihara-style digit plate screen, hue-order activities with 15 and 40 caps, a shape-tracing activity for children, and a symbol contrast screen. No account is required to start.

The tests are aimed at individuals who notice that reds, greens, blues or yellows are harder to tell apart, as well as parents and designers. Results are plain-language feedback meant as a screening aid, not a medical diagnosis. The site also provides a colour blindness simulator and a WCAG contrast checker for designers and developers.

What sets it apart is that tests run locally in the browser, with no pop-ups or fees, and the site is explicit about the limits of online screening. It recommends an eye-care professional for formal assessment and explains common colour vision types in a practical guide.
