About The Game Room

The Game Room is a collection of twelve games that run directly in the browser, built by Geir Isene with Claude on his funkey engine. It covers arcade classics, shooters, puzzles, a kart race, a dungeon crawl, a block world and a hex wargame, and is aimed at anyone who wants a quick round of retro-style play without installing anything.

Visitors can search by name or filter by type: Arcade, Shooting, Thinking, Adventure or Racing. Every game has a top ten list shared by all players, plus a comment section where people can leave a name and a note that appears right away. There is no account, no login and no ads, and progress is saved in the browser for the next visit.

The newest title, wargame, offers two fourteen-turn scenarios, North Africa and Stalingrad in 1942. It can be played against the computer, with two players on one keyboard, or watched as the computer plays itself. The games are released into the public domain, with source code on GitHub and terminal versions also available.
