SunaBox
Browser-based particle sandbox powered by WebGPU

About SunaBox
SunaBox is a particle sandbox that runs in the browser, made by Darien Bathalter. It is aimed at people who enjoy experimenting with simulated materials, physics toys and falling-sand style games, and who have a device with a modern GPU.
From the interface, users paint particles and solids onto a scene and watch them interact. The controls include a brush size, gravity strength, pour rate, an option to pause while drawing, anchoring what is painted, and driving painted objects with the arrow keys. A scene can start with water, and settings such as enclosure, resolution and particle cap can be changed and applied with a reset. A readout shows particle count, frames per second, substeps and milliseconds per frame, and the app offers Modern and Classic modes plus a menu bar with File, Edit, View and Help.
SunaBox relies on WebGPU, so it needs a recent version of Chrome, Edge or Safari with hardware acceleration enabled. Without a compatible GPU adapter it shows an error instead of starting, as it did when this listing was written.
