About SeqBench

SeqBench is a browser-based sequence workbench for molecular biologists and lab researchers who work with DNA, RNA and protein sequences. It brings a large set of tools into one place, covering PCR primer design, clone assembly simulation for Gibson, Golden Gate and restriction cloning, CRISPR guide finding, plasmid map viewing and sequencing read verification.

Users can drop in files such as .ab1 traces, SnapGene .dna files, GenBank records and FASTA, or paste a sequence or accession directly. The site lists about 90 tools grouped by workflow, along with SeqStudio, an editor where features remap live as bases are inserted or deleted.

What sets it apart is that most tools run in the browser and the site emphasizes practical checks, such as mismatch positions in verified constructs and synthesis complexity warnings, without requiring installed software.
