REA
Reverse engineering tools for your coding agent

About REA
REA is an open-source toolkit that lets a coding agent inspect how existing software works. Instead of guessing, the agent can read the code behind an app, a game or a website, then explain a feature or help rebuild it. It is aimed at developers and curious builders who already use a coding agent and want answers grounded in the program itself.
You install it with a single npx command or by pasting a prompt into your agent, approve the setup plan, and restart the agent. After that, you give it a program or page and a question. REA returns code, references and runtime observations that the agent uses to explain or recreate the behavior.
The site backs this up with worked examples, including Chrome's dinosaur game speed rule and the percent button in Windows Calculator, plus case studies on Android APKs, Electron apps and native binaries. Guides cover native analysis, JavaScript and Electron apps, and browser activity capture. The project uses the MIT license and has a Discord community.
