PermitCore is a software licensing platform for developers who sell desktop, mobile or other installed software and want to stop building licensing infrastructure themselves. It lets teams create license keys, control devices and features, and manage activations from a single dashboard.
The product connects checkout to a working app. Sellers can run a branded license store that takes payments through their own Stripe account, and keys are delivered automatically after purchase. Licensing models include node-locked, floating, offline, subscription, perpetual and metered access, so pricing can change without redesigning the licensing stack. Eight official SDKs and a REST API handle validation.
What sets it apart, according to the site, is client-side encryption of license keys, so plaintext keys are not stored on the server, along with EU hosting and a self-hosted option on the Enterprise plan. A free plan covers 50 activations per month, and paid plans include a three-month trial for new customers.
