About ns-ui
ns-ui is a personal registry of 542 React components for developers who want interactive UI pieces without adding a package dependency. Each component installs as a source file through the shadcn CLI, so the code lands in your project and stays editable. The collection is split into a restrained core set with a dark, production-facing look and a louder showcase set built around canvas, motion and glass effects.
Every component is built around a single interaction, such as a coverflow gallery with a caustic light simulation, a before and after slider that fractures under drag, or a notification bell whose clapper swings when messages arrive. Components are themed through your own CSS tokens and support light and dark modes. The README describes a Playwright gate that checks each state and theme before a component is accepted.
The registry also exposes an llms.txt catalog and an MCP server, so AI agents can search components, read their props and install them. It suits frontend developers and agents building interfaces who want distinctive, copy-ready components.
