About CheckATS

CheckATS is a free resume checker for job seekers who want to see how their resume lines up with a specific job description before applying. Paste or upload a text-based PDF resume, add the role you are targeting, and the tool highlights keywords from the posting that are missing from your resume.

Beyond keyword coverage, the local scan runs four mechanical checks on the raw extracted text to flag basic parsing risks that can stop an applicant tracking system from reading a document cleanly. Results are presented as a simulation rather than a universal ATS score, since no single formula is used by every system. Users can optionally request an AI review that evaluates recruiter-facing writing, plus a rewrite suggestion.

The product needs no account and says ATS checks run locally, with AI requests sent to a server only when the user asks for them. It suits anyone tailoring a resume for a particular role who wants clear, practical guidance before submitting an application.
