About AutoChangelog

AutoChangelog is a tool for software teams and solo developers who want to keep users informed about product updates without writing release notes by hand. It connects to GitHub, reads merged pull requests, code changes and commits, and turns them into plain-language changelog entries.

Setup involves installing the GitHub App, choosing which repositories to track, and adding a webhook to a CI/CD pipeline or triggering it manually at deploy time. Entries are drafted with AI and can be published automatically or held in a review mode so they can be edited first. Repository access is read-only.

Changelogs are hosted on public pages with templates, custom colors and logos, dark mode, custom domains and an RSS feed. Paid plans add email notifications, private changelogs, an embeddable widget, manual entries, white-labeling and API access. A free plan covers one repository and a limited number of deployments each month, with higher tiers for unlimited deployments and team use.
