Find where a photo was taken using AI visual clues

About whereisthisplace
whereisthisplace is a web tool for anyone who wants to know where a photo was taken, whether it is a street corner, an old family print, a travel screenshot or a picture someone sent them. Users upload an image and the AI returns its three most likely locations with confidence levels, the visual clues behind each guess and a map to check the result. The site first reads any GPS or camera metadata in the browser, so the photo is not uploaded when that data survives.
The product is aimed at travelers, family historians, journalists and OSINT researchers, and geography-game players. Its main difference is that it shows its reasoning. Clues such as signage, driving side, architecture, vegetation and road markings are listed, and a second pass discards any clue the image does not support. When evidence is thin it says so instead of guessing.
The site publishes benchmark results on a public 50-photo test set, including its failures, and says it is free to start with no account required, with a limited number of analyses per week.
