ImageToSTL is a browser-based tool for makers, product designers, game artists and 3D printing hobbyists who want a 3D model from a photo without learning modeling software. Users upload a PNG or JPG, choose a quality level and let the AI build a textured 3D model, which can be downloaded as GLB or OBJ. Paid plans also offer print-ready STL export.
The site offers two paths. AI generation rebuilds a freestanding textured object from one photo, or from several views for better accuracy. Free browser tools run locally on the device and create heightmap relief meshes for lithophanes, coins and embossed logos. They also convert between mesh formats such as 3MF, GLB, OBJ, STL and PLY without using credits.
New accounts get a few free credits, with a daily check-in for more. Paid plans add stronger models, multi-view input, higher-resolution textures and a saved library of past results. The site notes that blurry photos and cluttered backgrounds reduce quality.
