About Unboom

Unboom is a desktop app for Mac and Windows that deals with boomy bass caused by the room rather than the speakers. It runs a quiet test sweep from your listening position, finds the low frequency your room exaggerates, and turns down only that part. No microphone numbers or graphs are involved, and the whole setup takes about two minutes.

It is aimed at music producers, podcasters and everyday listeners who use speakers in untreated rooms. Each room and speaker pair keeps its own profile, and the app follows your speakers automatically while leaving headphones untouched. It sits in the menu bar or taskbar and applies to your music and video apps. On Mac, a plug-in lets DAWs such as Logic Pro, Ableton Live and FL Studio use the same correction, while on Windows DAWs using ASIO play uncorrected.

Unboom only cuts and never boosts, and audio stays on your computer. It costs a one-time fee instead of a subscription, with a 14-day free trial and no account.
