About Knock Knock

Knock Knock is a groovebox that runs in the browser, built for people who want to make a beat without learning a full music production suite. It offers pads, a step sequencer, sample chopping and effects, and it needs no account or installation.

Beats are saved on the device you use, and you can export a .knock file to move a beat elsewhere or import one from someone else. Once the app has loaded it works offline, including saved beats, and on a phone or iPad it can be added to the home screen so it stays available. A built-in tutorial helps new users get started.

The homepage also shows a feed of fresh shares, which are beats other people have just made. Visitors can tap one to hear it and then remix it, which makes the tool a good fit for casual experimenting and learning by tweaking other people's loops across styles like lo-fi, trap, drum and bass and four-to-the-floor.
