shindan
Free personality and psychology quizzes, no sign-up needed
About shindan
shindan is a Japanese-language site of free personality and psychology tests for people who want a short, low-pressure way to pass time. It offers seven quizzes, including a deep psychology test, a 16-type personality test, an animal diagnosis and a mental-age test, with 64 possible result types in total. Each quiz takes roughly three minutes according to the site, and no account or email address is required.
The site's main difference is transparency: each quiz's entry page lists the measures it uses, what each one looks at and how scores are calculated. Results are returned immediately, and the site says answers are not stored on its servers. It is aimed at casual readers who enjoy self-reflection or want to browse interesting tests.
The site states that its quizzes are for entertainment and are not medical diagnoses or tools for hiring decisions. It recommends contacting a professional if someone is struggling with their mental health.
