Rice Purity Test

About Rice Purity Test

The Rice Purity Test is a self-graded quiz for people curious about how much life they have experienced. It is aimed at adults, and the original version covers romance, sex, alcohol, drugs, rule-breaking and run-ins with the law. Each question is a yes or no, and every yes subtracts one point from a starting score of 100.

The site hosts the classic 100-question version, which dates back to Rice University in Houston, Texas, and is traditionally taken during Orientation Week. Answers are scored in the browser and progress is saved on the device, so nothing typed in the quiz is sent to the site. Users can also read all questions before starting and see what each score band means.

The quiz is presented as a light conversation starter rather than a judgement, and there is no official right score. A separate teen version with 50 questions is linked for younger users. The site states it is not affiliated with Rice University.
