Quillcap is written for writers who want a clear picture of how much they write over time. It connects to a Google Doc and syncs your editing activity automatically, so you do not need to log word counts by hand.

The activity is shown on a calendar-style heatmap that makes gaps and streaks easy to spot, along with totals for words written, writing days and completed projects. Each book or manuscript can be tracked as its own project with a status marker.

Quillcap also offers insights such as peak productivity hours, streak tracking and reminders, aimed at helping writers build a steady habit. Its main difference is that progress is measured from the document itself rather than from self-reported entries.
