Mansplainer
Translate between caveman speak and academic MIT prose

About Mansplainer
Mansplainer is a browser-based text translator that converts writing between two extreme registers. In one direction, it turns blunt, primitive phrasing such as "Make code fast so computer no freeze" into polished academic language. In the other, it takes dense, jargon-heavy text and rewrites it in simple terms.
The tool is aimed at people who want a quick, playful way to simplify jargon or to dress up plain ideas. Users choose a translation direction, pick a model from a list of free OpenRouter models or leave it on automatic, and press translate or use Ctrl+Enter. Quick sample prompts, a copy button, a clear option and a swap-and-invert control help speed up repeated use. The output panel shows which model ran and how long it took.
The site states that requests are dispatched client-side from memory with zero data retention. An OpenRouter API key is optional, and a built-in self-test panel lets users check the app's behavior.
