About GenieChef
GenieChef is a free AI cooking assistant for home cooks who want to decide what to make without a trip to the store. You list what you have, or tap a mood, and it generates three recipes in about a minute, each with steps and a photo.
Quick Recipes need no sign-up and aim to use ingredients most people already keep at home, which helps reduce food waste. Creative mode adds filters for cuisine, dietary needs, cooking time and more, and it requires an account for full access. Saved recipes, automatic shopping lists and allergen exclusions are also available.
The app works in six languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Russian. It is optimised for mobile and can be installed as a PWA on iOS and Android. The recipes are AI-generated, so the site advises checking ingredients and instructions against trusted sources, especially for allergies.
