Foam Concrete Reference
Technical reference on foam concrete production, density and standards

About Foam Concrete Reference
Foam Concrete Reference is an independent technical resource on foam concrete and cellular lightweight concrete. It is aimed at engineers, specifiers, contractors and plant operators who need to understand how a cement-based material with deliberately added air voids is made and used.
The site covers the full production route from base slurry and pre-formed foam to curing, along with setting and demoulding times, density classes from 75 to 1600 kg/m3, foaming agents, mix design, and equipment such as foam generators and block plants. It also includes a mix designer tool that produces a batch sheet for a target density, plus worked quantity calculations for screeds, slabs and trench fill.
What sets it apart is its focus on the physics of the void structure and on terminology, explaining why names like CLC, LDCC and aerated concrete are not interchangeable in a specification. Content is available in English and German.
