EffectHub is a search directory for AI tools aimed at people who know the job they need done but not which tool does it. Visitors describe a task in plain words and receive a ranked shortlist drawn from a catalog of several thousand listings.
Each tool carries an effect score out of 100, built from observed visitor attention, ratings, how many independent source catalogs list the tool, and whether the listing is still alive when checked. The site states that paid placement is not offered and that listings are re-checked on a schedule.
The catalog also includes task pages, category browsing, pricing filters for free, freemium and paid tools, an interactive map of where tools are built, and a section for indexing MCP servers that is still marked as coming soon.
