About Chrome Goldmine

Chrome Goldmine is a research database for indie developers who want to build Chrome extensions. It lists 9,656 extensions that people already installed before they were abandoned or removed, including the historical user counts, category, rebuild difficulty and the reason each one died.

Each listing also shows who competes today and includes a step-by-step rebuild plan, so a builder can pick an idea and start work without repeating the research. The sample on the homepage shows 20 rows with real filters and one full report, and the rest of the dataset unlocks at checkout as a one-time purchase delivered as a Notion workspace and CSV.

It is aimed at solo makers and small teams looking for a validated starting point. The differentiator is the focus on extensions that once had demand, rather than guessing at new ideas, with the research already done for the buyer.
