About AnimalsDetails

AnimalsDetails is a free collection of pet calculators and plain-English guides for dog and cat owners. Visitors enter their pet's details, such as weight, age or size, and get a personal answer in seconds, including puppy adult weight, age in human years, Benadryl dosing, food calories and toxicity checks for chocolate, grapes and onions.

The site covers dogs and cats, with a few tools for fish keepers such as an aquarium stocking calculator. Each tool explains the reasoning behind its answer, which the site says is based on veterinary sources like the Merck Veterinary Manual and AVMA age charts.

According to the site, calculations run in the browser, require no sign-up, and do not send what users enter to its servers. The site notes that its content is for information only and is not a substitute for veterinary advice.
