twirl is built for 3D artists, game developers and designers who need physically based rendering textures without building them by hand. You describe a surface in a text prompt and the tool generates albedo, normal, roughness, metallic and height maps in PNG format.
Beyond generation, twirl includes a public feed where you can browse materials other people have made, download free ones and save favorites to your own library. The site lists unlimited downloads from the public library, with a daily allowance of generation credits and paid plans for higher-resolution output and private materials.
The team says it plans to add a one-click importer plugin for existing software and procedural materials later on, aiming to fit the tool into current creative workflows.
