TuningMac
System-wide Mac equalizer and per-app volume mixer
About TuningMac
TuningMac is a menu bar app for Mac users who want more control over how their audio sounds. It works as a system-wide equalizer and a per-app volume mixer, so people who listen to music, watch videos or join calls can shape each app's sound separately instead of living with one global setting.
Its main draws are multi-output playback and automatic ducking. Audio can be sent to several devices at once, such as AirPods, speakers and a TV, with each output getting its own volume and EQ. Music can also fade down by itself when a call starts. The equalizer offers presets and a parametric mode with up to 20 bands, and headphone correction profiles can be imported from AutoEQ.
The app is aimed at anyone who wants finer audio control on macOS without installing drivers. It requires macOS 14.2 Sonoma or later and is sold as a one-time purchase with a 7-day free trial.
