SpeechReader is a text to speech reader for people who would rather listen than read, or who want to hear their own writing read back. You paste text or, on a paid plan, drop in a PDF or a photo of a printed page, then pick from more than 2,000 AI voices in over 60 languages.

While the audio plays, each word is highlighted as it is spoken, so listeners never lose their place. Playback speed can be adjusted anywhere from 0.5 to 4 times and changed at any moment. Audio you have generated is kept, so replaying a paragraph or a full document does not use extra credits, and long documents can be downloaded as a single MP3 for offline listening.

The product suits commuters, students, language learners, proofreaders and readers with dyslexia or ADHD. A free account allows a few minutes of audio each day, and paid tiers add higher daily limits, downloads and studio-grade voices.
