ihateaudio is a free collection of 49 audio tools that run directly in the browser. It is aimed at people who need to trim, convert, merge, normalize or otherwise fix a recording without installing software or creating an account. Common jobs include cutting dead air from interviews, converting files for a device, shrinking audio to fit messaging app limits, and making ringtones.

The tools are grouped into areas such as cut and join, format conversion, loudness, speed and pitch, effects, utilities and an AI studio. The AI studio covers vocal removal, stem splitting, transcription and subtitle generation, with models that download once and then run on the user's machine.

The main difference is the privacy model. Files are read from the user's device and processed by the browser's own audio engine, so nothing is uploaded, there is no queue or size cap, and the tools keep working offline once loaded. The site presents this as checkable through the network tab.
