HandyXlate is an Android app for people who want to read and understand text inside other apps without switching screens. It suits readers of social comments, articles, feeds, and manga who need a quick translation while they stay in place.

The workflow is single-shot: tap the floating bubble, capture one frame, run OCR on the device, and the app places translated blocks back over the original text. Screenshots are not uploaded, only recognized text is sent for translation. A Quick Translate mode covers cases where text is already editable, so users can paste it, translate it, and copy the result back into chat or comments.

Unlike tools that run constant overlays or depend on Accessibility Service permissions, HandyXlate uses screen capture permission only when asked. Some apps block capture, so translation may not work everywhere. Free users get a monthly online translation quota before upgrading to Premium.
