FlossChart is built for cross-stitchers who want to turn a personal photo into a stitchable pattern. Upload a picture of a pet, a wedding photo, a logo or pixel art, then choose the width in stitches and how many DMC colors to use. The chart, finished size and floss list update as you adjust the settings.
The tool produces a printable chart with symbols, a full DMC floss list with stitch counts and skein estimates, and a print layout with a cover page and grid pages marked with bold lines every 10 stitches and row numbers. A one-click option reduces stray single stitches that can make a pattern hard to work.
According to the site, the conversion runs in the browser, so the photo is not uploaded anywhere. Previews and charts up to 40 by 40 stitches are free, and a one-time payment of five euros unlocks charts up to 500 by 500 stitches with no subscription or account.
